THE HOUSE
Villa Gargas was built in 1997 in typical traditional Provencal style. The spacious villa (120m2) offers a large family sitting room with a magnificent open Provencal fireplace and a cathedral style ceiling, and a fully fitted kitchen. There are three double bedrooms (one en-suite) with separate bathroom and WC facilities. The house has two terraces, one situated on the southern side and the other on the northern side. A private driveway leads to a large garage (32m2). Villa Gargas stands on 1600m2 secure terrain and has a beautifully designed swimming pool.

The house is situated within a very private setting. The rear garden leads into a pine forest which is home to many of Provence's magnificent fauna and flora, ideal for nature enthusiasts or those who desire to stay within the peace and tranquility of the countryside. This house also comes with the benefit of only a 5 minute walk into the village, with its extensive facilities, pharmacy, post office, news agents, bakers, grocers, restaurant, bar etc., and not forgetting the small weekly farmers market.

French doors from the living room lead you onto a 67m2 south facing terrace, canopied with a mature wisteria, a vine and a lovely kiwi tree. This overlooks the architecturally designed 'Artists pallet' style swimming pool (1Ox5m). This beautiful pool has been designed with a large diving rock, which lies next to a beautiful olive tree. Alongside are trees and a mature planted area of fragrant roses, lavender and many other shrubs.

A terraced area next to the pool leads to a breakfast seating area and a wooden bench, ideal for nature lovers or simply just to watch those lazy summer days go by! From the terrace you enter the spacious living room, with the traditional Provencal open fireplace and a magnificent exposed cathedral style beamed ceiling. The tiled floor throughout the house benefits from an economical under-floor gas central heating system.

Fully fitted, solid wood kitchen comprising of electric fan assisted oven, extractor fan, American style fridge freezer, separate drinks refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and an original Belfast style porcelain twin sink. There is also a goldwater filter system, which is essential in those hot summer months.

The villa comprises of 3 bedrooms (14.3m2, 12 m2 & 10m2 ), the largest of which has en-suite double shower facilities, fitted with beautiful natural tiles and a traditional waterfall style shower.
 
 
RENTAL INFORMATION & CONDITIONS  
From October 1st to the 1st of May there's a heating surcharge of €125 per week.
 
 
LOCATION
Gargas is situated about 50 kilometers east of Avignon, about 5 minutes from Apt, 15 minutes from Bonnieux , Gordes and Roussillon, 30 min. from L'Isle sur la Sorgue (famous for its antique shops) and 50 minutes from Aix en Provence.
